Privacy Policy

Who are we?

Llangattock Green Valleys Community Interest Company (LGV) is a membership organisation and Community Interest Company registered at Companies House (registration number 07255186).  LGV Ventures Community Interest Company but not a membership organisation (registration number 07917807).  Both have a registered address at:

CRiC, 2 Beaufort St, Crickhowell, Powys, NP8 1BN.

How do we collect information from you?

We collect information about you from our membership form when you become a volunteer or member of Llangattock Green Valleys CIC or when you sign up to our newsletter.

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, phone number, contact details of next of kin.

How is your information used?

LGV may use your information to notify you of:

  • details of the weekly micro hydro data collection and other volunteer opportunities.
  • ad hoc events and activities that LGV or one of its partners is organising
  • matters of interest to those interested in environmental developments and other project development ideas including Co-Operative share offers or other membership type organisations.

Who has access to your information?

LGV will never sell or rent your information to third parties. LGV will never share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Keeping your information secure

Your data will be stored on computers belonging to Board Directors only, on hard drives and/or Google Docs.  (‘Computer’ includes any equipment that can store personal information.)

How to access, update and remove your information

LGV will always try to ensure your data is as accurate as possible. We therefore encourage you to advise LGV of any changes to email addresses, physical addresses or other data stored about you.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information LGV holds about you. There is no charge to have a copy of this information.

If you are a volunteer and you wish LGV to stop holding your personal data then you have the right to have this information removed from our systems.

If you wish to update or remove your personal information or request a copy of the information we hold about you, please email jackiecharltonlgv@gmail.com.

Data Retention

Fulfilment and Financial Records: if any financial records are kept (ie expenses claims forms and bank details) they will be stored for as long as required under financial regulations; after which time LGV may delete such records; typically after seven years.

Volunteer records: We reserve the right to delete your data if you have not taken part in a volunteer activity for two years.

Like most websites LGV’s website (www.llangattockgreenvallesy.org) uses cookies to help deliver a better service to our users.

Complaints Procedure

If you have a complaint on how LGV has handled your personal data then please email jackiecharltonlgv@gmail.com and the matter will be investigated. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
