Part of the Your Energy Saving Service (YESS)
If you’ve had an LGV thermal camera survey or you’ve been monitoring your house with the energy saving kit, you may have questions about what improvements you could make, or you may already have improvements in mind which you’d like to discuss with a qualified and insured person. Here are some ways you can do that.
LGV Home energy walk-and-talk service.
LGV offers a home walk-and-talk service by an independent qualified Level 3 Domestic Energy & Retrofit Assessor (Elmhurst and ECMK) which provides opportunity for homeowners to discuss improvements in the energy efficiency of their houses.
For an £80 fee the 2 hour visit includes:
- A walk and talk consultation with a Retrofit Assessor around your home.
- A free up to date Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). Great if your current EPC has expired or you’ve added energy efficiency measures since your last assessment.
- A post-assessment written summary with guidance on baby steps and quick fixes you can easily achieve yourself, together with information on deeper retrofit measures to improve your building’s fabric, energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and improve on home comfort.
Visits will be grouped to make best use of the assessor’s time, keeping the cost down.
The fee for a 2 hour visit, including summary and EPC is £80.00 and travel costs for visits beyond a 10-mile radius of Llangattock are 45p per mile (all paid to the assessor).
