Funding for environmental projects

Llangattock Green Valleys’ Community Fund arises from generation of electricity by its five micro-hydro schemes and it provides grants for constituted community groups undertaking projects designed to deliver sustainable improvements to the environment in the Bannau Brycheiniog [Brecon Beacons National Park]. The value of the fund at any time depends upon the price paid for the electricity generated and the amount of rainfall.

Applications are invited from community groups having a bank account and should be made using the form below which can be completed, saved, and submitted online, or downloaded and submitted by email or mail to the addresses below. The application should state the aims and give a short description of the project (max 1000 characters) and its benefits, particularly with regard to mitigating the effects of the climate emergency and benefits to society, (eg health, transport, etc) (max 800 characters). The project should take place within the Bannau Brycheiniog.

The application should be accompanied by a copy of the organisation’s constitution or rules, a recent copy of the accounts, and safeguarding policy if required by the project.
